A new phone application to promote Seychelles businesses and assist visitors putting Seychelles in the palm of your hand is now available on the Apple App Store, and best of all, for free.

After the recent Android and blackberry version of this  new revolutionary phone application from Leisure & Business, comes the iPhone version also compatible with the iPad and iPod touch. The Seychelles application can be downloaded directly to target device, or downloaded onto a computer via iTunes.

This is fantastic news for the Seychelles, which is the first tourism destination to benefit from this new mobile technology. Businesses will have the opportunity to be part of this application and promote their products and services via two mechanisms:

(1) The Business Directory will provide essential information on existing businesses, be it a restaurant, hotel or other service. All subscribing businesses will have their own page, which can be updated at any time.

The page will include a description of the business and will give contact details with direct links to their website. One can even look up the location of the business on the island map.

(2) The Tourism News and Offers section will keep people informed of the local events taking place as well as ongoing offers and promotions from local businesses.

Functionalities of the application:

• Interactive Guide: With beautiful images of Seychelles, this section provides you with general information about the destination including geography, history, economy, climate, culture, practical information, activities, etc.

• Business Directory: This section provides you with information on existing businesses, be it a restaurant, hotel or other service. Each page describes the product/service, giving you their contact details with direct links to the business and its geographical location.

• Weather Forecast: This gives you the weather forecast by region for the upcoming week.
